About me

I’m a dad of 2 girls and husband to a very sporty wife. I play and skipper a local rugby team and like a beer and a giggle. Over the last 3 or 4 years, as my rugby retirement looms ever closer, I’ve found the world of running. I’m in no way one of the running evangelicals – indeed combining being a large second row with a running whippet just doesn’t work so I’ve found my own slow and stubborn pace for getting round.

I’ve completed a few ultra-marathons which seem to suit my slow and steady approach and the camaraderie I love on these events. I’ve completed Trailwalker (my first experience), justwalk, the Wall and Greenman and look to do one or so a year.

Training wise, my plans are the best, just like at school it involves rulers, highlighter pens and even a contents page! but reality tends to differ somewhat…
